Hoping everyone had a really great Thanksgiving.
Wanted to send an update for the pack meeting and ask you all to send out pack meeting reminder and announcement to your dens.
Sean and I have a arranged for a magician to come and perform at the Pack meeting. He is a professional magician that I happen to know through work. Since it is our last pack meeting as cub master and charter rep., we wanted to do something special. The magician has a son who is in Boy Scouts out in West Orange and often does blue and gold events, etc. His show will be about 30-45 min long. His name is Jay Rosenberg.
Unfortunately, I cannot be there, I have a large educational conference for work event that I am in charge of running and it cannot be moved. The conference takes us about a year to plan and coordinate speakers from around the country. My worlds collided yesterday when I realized both events were the same day.
Sean will need help.
We were thinking the order should go as follows:
Opening ceremony
Magician
Awards and announcements ( we may end up going over about 15 min so tell families 7:00 to 8:15 and to be on time as possible)
Sean will go early and set up chairs
The magician brings his own PA system
If the leaders can get the boys seated by den.
Families behind the dens
I also will invite troop 60 (Gavin’s Troop)
And my -girls Scout den (10 girls 3rd grade)
Thank you for any assistance you can provide to Sean on Thursday and for reminding your families- it should be a fun family night for everyone...
