There are no den meetings on 5/25 due to our weekend events.
On Saturday, May 27th, at 10:45 AM at the Fair Lawn Cemetery on Maple Ave we will gather to place flags on the graves of Veterans. *time will be confirmed as I am seeing conflicting posts
Class A uniforms are required. A full baseball uniform is also acceptable
Maps indicating the various sections to be assigned will be distributed—this will avoid duplication of the Scouts efforts (as we experienced last year).
On Sunday, May 28th, at 1:45 PM, there will be a Memorial Ceremony, Taps and a firing squad salute. If you choose to attend this event you must wear Class A.
On Monday, May 29th, at 9:30 am we will gather at the commuter parking lot (across from the 208 entrance and diagonal to Green Dragon) for the Fair Lawn Memorial Day Parade. The parade starts at 10:30 am. Either walk to our rendevue point or park at the commuter lot by the train station, you will not have access to your vehicle once the parade starts.
Full Class A uniform is required in order to March.
Please bring your own candy to hand out to spectators. (No throwing) The entire parade route is approximately 1.5 miles, we will be walking the entire length so plan accordingly.
PLEASE message your den leaders if you are attending the flag ceremony and parade ASAP
