Things every cub should know

1. We are in the Northern New Jersey Council (look at the left sleeve patch)
2. We are in the Three Rivers District
3. The three districts in NNJC are Ramapo Valley, Lenape Trail, and Three Rivers
4. Lord Baden-Powell founded the Scouting movement.
5. The Scouts were officially in the United States in 1930.
6. The first Pinewood Derby was in 1953.
7. Boy Scout Motto-  Be Prepared.
8. Boy Scout Slogan- Do a Good Turn Daily.
9. Boy Scout Oath: On my honor I will do my best 
   To do my duty to God and my country 
   and to obey the Scout Law; 
   To help other people at all times;
   To keep myself physically strong, 
   mentally awake, and morally straight.

11. The camps in the NNJC- Yaw Paw, Alpine, NoBeBoSco, Turrell, Floodwood, Lewis, Conklin.

13. Your Den Leader is known as an Akela.
14. The Dens in the Pack are Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos 1 and Webelos 2.
15. Only Boy Scouts earn Merit Badges. It takes 21 to become an Eagle Scout.
16. Order of the Arrow is the Scouting National Honor Society.
17. You must be a Bear to earn your Whittling Chip and use a knife.
18. Every boy must earn their Bobcat Badge when they join the Pack.
19. State your own name, address, and a phone number for your parent. (Know parents' full names).
20. February 8th is the Scouts' birthday.
21. Scout Law: A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, 
    courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty,
    brave, clean, and reverent.
